Step UP! IU is a 90 to 120-minute, audience-driven program that uses real-life scenarios to teach the skills needed to intervene in problematic situations.
Situations discussed include:
- sexual assault
- drug and alcohol abuse
- mental health
- stress management
It’s On Us: Alcohol and Consent
It’s On Us: Alcohol and Consent is a 90- to 100-minute audience-driven program that teaches participants the skills needed to help in situations involving alcohol and drug use that could lead to a sexual assault. Participants practice helping in a real-life scenario and discuss how alcohol and drug use influences a person’s ability to give and get consent to engage in sexual activity with another person.
This program is mandatory for all first-year undergraduate students and sessions will take place in the residence halls during the fall and spring semesters. Classes and student groups are additionally welcome to request the program.

Request a training for your organization, class, residence hall, or group of friends. Together you will learn how to evaluate difficult situations and how to intervene in a caring and supportive manner.
We ask that there are a maximum of 60 participants in one session. Please indicate the total number of participants below, and we'll work with you to figure out how to best meet your needs.
We request that you reserve space to host the workshop on campus. Room reservations can be made by contacting Student Life and Learning. We ask that you request a space that holds the total number of students you anticipate will attend the workshop and space that has a computer, project and sound equipment available.
