Maya Wilson-Fernandez

Director of Sexual Well-Being

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida to a Paraguayan mom and an American dad. I am currently studying African American and African Diaspora Studies and Sociology, as well as minors in French and Latino Studies. My passions are wide and varied, but one of the things I care about are doing my best to undermine a system that is inherently built on the oppression of minorities and women. I joined Culture of Care because I have faced many issues in my life, both directly and indirectly, that have intersected with every single one of the focus areas in our initiative, and wanted to work to create a better world for us and the generations to come. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music of all genres (even country sometimes), watching films and addictive tv series on Netflix, going on adventures with my friends, and practicing photography.
