I'm from the suburbs of Chicago (Brookfield, IL) and I'm studying journalism, with a concentration in PR, and Spanish. I'm involved with the Arbutus (yearbook) and I tutor at the Monroe County Library. I joined Culture of Care because I want to create a "culture of care" on campus and I support the idea of "Hoosiers helping other Hoosiers." Being the director of mental health is important to me because I believe people should be more open about talking about mental health and people shouldn't feel ashamed to talk about their experiences or to ask for help.
